We are changing things up a bit this month. Our goal is to have a variety of speakers on farming, ranching, and food crises. You will have the ability to purchase their products and food supply in and around Calgary.
Guest Speaker Lineup
You can view our speaker profiles by clicking on their names to be taken directly to their pages on our website.
1. 🎤 Michelle Malmberg will introduce the evening. For some producers she has offered to speak on what they do, why their ranch/farm is unique, what is their land stewardship & why they do what they do. Why have we lost so much. Where do we go from here?
2. 🎤 James Steele, an independent reporter from CV19News, will test your mind as to how farming is related to C-19. What will this mean regarding future outbreaks & manufactured food crises?
3. 🎤 Michael Dyck is coming to us all the way from the Grand Prairie area! He will be sharing his knowledge on soil, how farmers amend it, why putting nutrients back into the soil makes it viable for planting again and why we need nutrient density in our food.
4. 🎤 Vicki Morrison hails from the BarR3 Ranch selling quality beef. She will zero in on - Producer beef versus out of country cheap beef with lower standards; grass versus feedlot; farm retail regulations; government hassles and how does this impact what we eat?
4. 🎤 Eve & Mike Woods will be speaking about real food, food lies and myths and the choices we have about our health and wellbeing. They are the Chapter Leaders for the Weston A. Price Foundation here in Calgary.
6. 🎤 Cheryl Greisinger is not only the Garlic Queen of southern Alberta, but her farm raises and sells in season produce, meat birds and beef at their store. Garlic will be for sale during the Vendors selling time. Interested in Blacksmithing, courses are offered!.
7. 🎤 Dawn Buschert has been there, done it and knows what works. She will help you navigate the realities of growing your own food be it backyard, homesteading or in an urban space. Dawn’s Dirt Coaching.
8. 🎤 Lee Gross Ethical Earth Solutions Inc. stands as a Syntropic Enterprise relentlessly committed to forging a healthier, more regenerative planet through pioneering water enhancement technologies..
